Academic Editing November Coffee Chat: Research Grant Editing
Register to join the Academic Editing Chapter’s November Coffee Chat on Thursday, November 7, at 1 p.m. PDT / 4 p.m. EDT to discuss the ins and outs of grant writing.
Part research, part journal article, and part cover letter, a grant proposal can be 100 percent anxiety for a writer. How can you—as an editor—help? In this month’s coffee chat, we will discuss how to identify required elements of a grant application, how to add some storytelling flair, how to make jargon-heavy or science-focused prose more readable, and how to smooth prose that was written by several people. We may also discuss formatting, figures, and graphics, essential parts of grant writing in some disciplines.
If you’re an experienced grant editor, come and share your knowledge—and if you’re new, come with questions!
