Chris Morton presents: The Six Ps of LinkedIn Success
Join us April 28 at our next virtual meeting when EFA member Chris Morton will present “The Six Ps of LinkedIn Success.” The presentation covers creating a LinkedIn profile that actually works, touching on the six Ps—planning, profile, people, participation, perseverance, and patience—that will bring clients to you.
Morton is a semiretired, independent business communications consultant who tries not to break a sweat about finding assignments. He came to mostly detest cold calling and outbound sales as a commissioned time and space sales rep/producer in the first 10 years of his career. Fast forward to circa 2005 when, like many who joined LinkedIn in its early “no photo” days, he posted his third-person resume in “set it and forget it” mode to start building his network.
Six years later, in recognizing that LinkedIn had evolved since he hung out his shingle, he got serious about it and found Wayne Breitbarth’s PowerFormula.net online (shunning those über-high-pressure “experts”).
Morton’s goal was to work hard on assignments, not be constantly chasing them down. Using LinkedIn as his inbound marketing tool has lined the way with gold—all with zero cold calls. Long-term clients find him, with his profile appearing in hundreds of searches each week. (See linktr.ee/IsntThatWrite for more.)
The meeting will be held Wednesday, April 28, at 5:30 p.m. It is free with registration (register here) and is open to all EFA members, their guests, and nonmembers curious about the EFA.
We hope to see you there!
