Fellow EFA member Sarah Cypher will share tips for crafting diplomatic author queries and other author-positive notes. From her experience as an editor and fiction writer, Sarah has a wealth of insight and tools that will help you learn to apply diplomacy for best results:

Join us to learn tools, time-saving shortcuts, and the practical philosophy of editorial kindness across most editorial disciplines—even on the most challenging projects. Sarah Cypher has been the freelancer behind The Threepenny Editor for fifteen years and is currently a Rona Jaffe Creative Writing Fellow in Warren Wilson College’s MFA program. Her short nonfiction book,The Editor’s Lexicon: Essential Writing Terms for Novelists (2010), helps authors and editors speak a similar language to facilitate good communication during revisions.
