Upper Hudson (NY) Lunch Meeting: Focus on Style Sheets
Join us for an informal lunch with a focus on style sheets on Thursday, October 26, from noon to 1:30 p.m., at the Chatham Grill, 34 Hudson Avenue, Chatham, NY 12037. By member request, chapter coleaders Terese Platten and Teresa Barensfeld will talk about the why and what of style sheets and will have some examples from their own work. Bring your own style sheets, too, if you like. This meeting will be a good lead-in to our November regular meeting, which will be about the changes in the latest (17th) edition of Chicago Manual of Style, which is perhaps the most popular style manual, either as a first or secondary guide.
Note that this is a change from our usual day, and it’s a switch from originally scheduled regular meeting in October to a lunch meeting. The November meeting, originally scheduled as a lunch meeting, is now a regular meeting. A death in the family of one of the leaders and the Town Hall availability necessitated these changes.
Accessibility: Free on-street parking and a small parking lot next to the Chatham Grill. There are a few steps at the main entrance of the restaurant; handicapped accessible through back (parking lot) entrance.
EFA members and guests are welcome; no charge for the meeting. Participants buy their own lunches.
