Sharing Your Work: Hearing from Jane Ellen Ibur

April 19th @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm CDT Free

Jane Ellen Ibur will be our speaker for April. Ibur is a poet and arts educator in St. Louis. (April is also poetry month, so bring in your haiku or anything you’ve been working on if you want to chill out after and just discuss.)

I’ve included a link so you can begin to get familiar with Ibur, for those of you who aren’t familiar with her. She’s a wonderful woman who’s spent her life writing poetry and giving back to the community by sharing her pieces with the world, and in settings you wouldn’t ordinarily think of, such as prison, jail, and to military veterans.

“I show ‘em the form, I show ‘em how to get there, and I say, ‘Jump in.'”

She’ll be discussing how she got into her work, the benefits of volunteering, and more. Can’t wait to see you there!
