Upper Hudson First Annual Field Trip
Join us at The Mount, Edith Wharton’s home, in Lenox, MA, on Friday, August 17, for a private house tour just for our group, followed by a self-guided garden tour, plenty of time in the bookstore (with a large selection of Wharton titles), and for those who like to go the extra mile, Jazz on the Terrace.
“Named a top-ten house tour by Fodor’s.com … this tour reveals the history of The Mount from its building to its restoration, and chronicles Wharton’s life and her remarkable achievements and legacy.”
We plan to arrive at The Mount at 2:30 p.m. for a 2:45 p.m. private tour, which will be about an hour long. There is no charge for EFA members; nonmembers pay a discounted fee of $16 (the regular fee is $20).
The free music on the terrace begins at 5:00 p.m. and is a well-attended, free, ongoing summer event. (Per the Mount website, bring lawn chairs if you want to stay for the music.)
Please RSVP by August 3 to reserve your spot.
