My editorial experience extends from the fine-detail work of copy editing to the ideation and developmental editing of scholarly manuscripts. Before earning a doctorate and becoming a lecturer in American literature, essay writing, and thesis development, I worked for daily, weekly, and monthly publications in jobs including factchecker, copyeditor, columnist, food critic, and contributing editor. Since earning my doctorate, I have served as peer reviewer for university presses including University of California, Johns Hopkins, Cambridge, MIT, and Routledge. I have authored an historical cookbook, a book of literary criticism, a textbook, and numerous essays and book reviews for peer-reviewed journals.
