I’m an editor and writing coach who helps you get writing, keep writing, and take ownership of your process and your work. I’ll show you your idea or draft from fresh perspectives, starting with how it’s already succeeding. Whether you’re building an argument or a fictional world, I will ensure not only that it’s structurally sound, but also that all the details contribute to your vision.

During my PhD in humanities, I learned many ways to think about how different kinds of texts work. I also learned how difficult it can be to make one’s own writing do what one wants! This training and experience inform my approach to coaching and editing. I will read your work on its own terms with sensitivity to your goals and process. My coaching helps you develop the writer’s mindset and toolbox that will serve you best, and my editing gets your work working in just the way you want.
