Brittany Dory

Blue Minerva Copyediting

I provide fiction editing services at every level and every stage of the writing process: manuscript evaluation, developmental editing and book mapping, copyediting, and proofreading. I have also worked on a wide range of nonfiction material, including magazine articles, technical writing, essays, online study guides, web copy, academic nonfiction, and textbooks. In all, I have edited more than six dozen books, both self-published and traditionally published. I also have more than a decade of experience writing and editing contracts, proposals, resumes, and the like for a technology business, most of which is written by non-native English speakers.

I am quite familiar with the Chicago Manual of Style. I have a fine arts degree from the University of Oklahoma, and I have extensive editing training under my belt, including the University of California Berkeley Extension’s Professional Sequence in Editing and the EFA’s Developmental Editing for Fiction program.

I am currently on hiatus from editing while I’m working on writing my own novel.
