Copenhagen Editing
My focus is on supporting writers at all stages of the writing process. I offer manuscript consultation and editing plans for writers who have an early draft and line editing and copyediting for those further along in the writing process.
My editing style is strengths-based—by pointing out areas where the writing is strong, writers can craft additions or revisions based on their own writing strengths and successes.
My professional background and training in editing make me uniquely suited to edit many types of manuscripts. I have edited novels, short stories, memoirs, personal essays, academic books and essays, narrative non-fiction, and web content. I understand the instinctual foundations of storytelling as well as the strategies in crafting and supporting an argument. I also know my way around in style guides—especially the 17th edition of the Chicago Manual of Style—and can spot a typo from a mile away.
Line by line, I read your manuscript to ensure that it’s the best it can be.
