Catia Laird de Polanco
Lunar Corridor, LLC
I was inspired to become an editor because of my love for the genres of paranormal and sci-fi romance. My editing philosophy prioritizes the vision and goals of each author in relation to their manuscript. I truly want to help authors—self-publishing authors in particular—achieve their creative visions. I offer copyediting, developmental editing, and proofreading services.
Although my editorial interests primarily deal with paranormal fiction, I am also interested in editing works of fiction and nonfiction that have been translated from Spanish or that deal with Latin American history, cultures, and identities. I’m currently an Assistant Professor of Spanish, and I hold both a BA and MA in Latin American, Caribbean, and US Latino Studies from the State University of New York at Albany. I also completed the Professional Sequence in Editing from UC Berkeley Extension.
