I received a creative writing minor from Carnegie Mellon in 2015 and graduated from Harvard Law School in 2019 (but no, I will not give you legal advice). I’ve been freelancing as a proofreader and line editor since 2008, and have been a developmental editor since 2014. I have experience with thrillers and science fiction, but fantasy was my first love, and I have a good handle on the conventions of most genres you can throw at me, including romance, suspense, mystery, young adult, middle grade, dystopian, and others. My developmental edits and manuscript assessments focus not only on plot and character, but also the intricacies of voice, world building, pacing, point of view, style, and more.
My novel Go won second place in its category in the Zebulon Contest by Pikes Peak Writers in 2015. I’ve also interned for several members of Congress, so I can help you with the realism of that political thriller you’ve secretly been working on. In case you hadn’t noticed, I’m a big fan of the Oxford comma.
Most importantly, I have a great eye for story, and I’m at my happiest helping you, the author, have that big plot or character breakthrough you’ve been waiting for.
