We also do indexing and edit books (mostly fiction), manuscripts and special projects. We design book covers as well as format and paginate books (interior pages). Stacks Editing is a family business. We’ve been editing dissertations, theses and manuscripts since 1992.

David Stacks is senior editor and founder of Stacks Editing, a family business specializing in doctoral dissertations for educators, nurses, doctor of ministry candidates and other graduate students; fiction including historical novels; book formatting and cover design; and indexing. He lives in Augusta, Ga., where he is active in the Authors Club of Augusta. He was marketing director for a national sportswear manufacturer. He has held community leadership roles such as president of his Rotary club. While working as a newspaper reporter and editor for 25 years, Stacks was active in Investigative Reporters and Editors, Society of Professional Journalists, American Society of News Editors, National Press Club, Florida Press Club and other professional organizations.
