My 15 years of experience as an editor and writer in various fields unite around an unwavering love of the written word. Throughout my career, I have built skills in non-profit and educational communications, PR, proofreading, line editing, developmental editing, academic writing and editing, newsletter editing, job application editing (resumes, cover letters, teaching philosophies), freelance journalism writing, essay writing, ghostwriting, website content development, formatting (APA, CMOS, & MLA), and blog writing.
As an editor, I enjoy paring sentences down to their essential meaning while preserving the voice of the author. As a writer, I love researching, organizing, and developing content so that it matches the publisher’s intended voice and audience. My over-arching drive is to create writing that is clear, concise, polished, and meaningful.
