Ph.D in Biology with a research background primarily in ecology and ornithology. Experience with statistical and spatial analysis in R and ArcGIS, among other programs. Have edited R01 grants for submission to NIH and CDC. I often work with researchers who speak and write in English as a second language.
Focusing on substantive and line editing of life sciences grants, manuscripts, etc., including:
- Ecology, Ornithology, Wildlife Conservation, Evolutionary Biology
- Biomedical and veterinary sciences
- Infectious disease
- Mathematical and network modeling
I use these programs for editing:
Microsoft Word track changes, Google Docs, LaTex. I use Mendeley Desktop reference manager software.
I am most familiar with CSE (“scientific”) and APA 7th ed. style and formatting, but can adapt to what you need.
I also do lower-level editing, such as copyediting, if that is what you need. If you prefer another platform for your editing, we can discuss options.
