Eugene received six Writers Digest honorable mentions and nine Royal Palm Literary Awards (four for first place – one of those for women’s fiction). He is a lifetime member, regional director for Washington and Nevada, board member and an editor for FWA’s Editors Helping Writers program. He’s attended dozens of writing conferences and presented at a few.

Eugene holds an AS and a BS in behavioral science education. In 1986, he completed his MS degree in computer science education with an emphasis on applications.

Eugene Orlando lives in Sparks, Nevada with his blind, retired piano-teacher wife, Dodie, where he facilitates the Reno Writing Clinic they founded in 2014.
