Frederic Riad Zand
I hold a B.A. in English from the University of Colorado; an M.F.A. in Fiction Writing from Vermont College of Norwich University; and an M.A. in Human Rights and Global Ethics from the University of Leicester. I also hold TEFL, CELTA and DLI certifications for ESL teaching. I have taught creative writing, research writing, composition and world literature at Norwich University and Johnson State College in Vermont and Suffolk University in Massachusetts. I also taught as an ESL instructor in the Middle East for ten years.
I have written and edited for PBS Frontline’s Tehran Bureau, and published short stories, articles and poems in journals, newspapers and anthologiesI grew up in the southwest and have lived in Vermont, Massachusetts and Saudi Arabia. I currently reside in Denver, Colorado with my wife Hanan and our rescue dog, Abby.
