Greg Coates has been in the luxury hotel business for close to 50 years. The last 25 have been spent as an Executive Recruiter servicing clients such as Ritz-Carlton, Rosewood, Peninsula, Hilton and major independent hotels and resorts.
He’s managed the Colorado Springs Writers’ Workshop for 7 years. Before moving to Colorado he ran the Long Beach Writers’ Workshop for 3 years. Greg mentors new fiction writers from premise to completion—from first draft to gaining an agent.
He’s edited all of most of more than 100 books, and has 4 books currently in front of agents. At this time he is line editing two three-book series: one a sci-fi thriller set in 2050; and the other a “chick lit” comedy set in Baghdad during the Second Gulf War.
Now that his primary hotel executive recruiting business is winding down, he intends to devote much more time assisting new authors find their voice.
