Boomvang Creative Group
As a writer and editor, I’m frequently asked how I got into the business and why I started Boomvang Creative Group. I’ll be honest, it’s not because I get a thrill from stringing words together or fixing grammar and spelling mistakes.
It’s because I love solving business problems and helping people, companies, and authors reach their goals with persuasive messages.
It’s because I thrive on creating stories about interesting people, places, organizations, and trends.
And since you’ve read this far, I’m willing to bet I can do the same for you.
I’ve been involved in a variety of publishing, media, advertising, and marketing ventures over the past three decades, including editorial positions with Golf Digest, Golf Illustrated, Best Western International, and McMurry Publishing. In 1999, I went full-time freelance and started Boomvang Creative Group, a Phoenix-based marketing and advertising firm focused on providing a full range of editorial services for print and electronic media. As a writer, editor, and ghostwriter, I have partnered with businesses ranging from small graphic design agencies to Fortune 1000 companies on projects including websites, ad copy, marketing materials, speechwriting, white papers, and writing workshops.
In addition to my corporate copywriting and editing services, I have ghostwritten and edited more than a dozen books for aspiring and established authors.
I blog regularly about freelance business topics at DoctorFreelance.com, and am the author of four nonfiction business books:
- The Science, Art and Voodoo of Freelance Pricing and Getting Paid
- The Smooth-Sailing Freelancer: How To Find, Sell, and Retain More Freelance Business
- Rev Up Your Referrals: A Strategic Approach to Generating More Word-of-Mouth Business
