Belmont Editing & Tutoring Services
I am a freelance editor specializing in copyediting, line editing, developmental editing, manuscript evaluation, and writing coaching. In 2017, I received my editing certificate from the University of Washington. Since 2004, I have also worked as a tutor of English, ESL, Russian, accent reduction, and linguistics, both in a freelance capacity and for North Seattle College. I edit personal statements for college admission (undergraduate & post-graduate), English essays of various types, a wide variety of business documentation (resumes, cover letters, blog posts, etc.), and books (fiction & nonfiction).
My BAs are in Russian language and literature and linguistics. Additionally, I have completed several graduate level college courses in existential and phenomenological psychology from Seattle University. I have also completed two certificate courses offered through Coursera.com: De-Mystifying Mindfulness and Søren Kierkegaard – Subjectivity, Irony and the Crisis of Modernity; and one non-certificate course: Buddhism and Modern Psychology.
I enjoy reading philosophy and psychology, writing, and doing meditation and yoga.
