Julie Bellemare
I am an art historian and copyeditor based in New York who has created content for the Smithsonian and the Brooklyn Museum.
As an experienced copyeditor and proofreader specializing in the arts and humanities, I have proofread a paperback for Cambridge University Press, co-written and copyedited an online exhibition for the Smithsonian Institution, and helped numerous students get into their preferred PhD program.
I recently completed my PhD at Bard Graduate Center, the leading institute for the cultural study of the material world, and I am currently a Cain Fellow at the Science History Institute.
I hold a Master’s degree from the University of Oxford, a Postgraduate Diploma from the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London, and a BA from McGill University. In addition to my native fluency in French, I am proficient in Classical and Modern Chinese.
