Katherine Mechling
I’m Katherine: writer, editor, and staunch defender of the Oxford comma. I love working with words.
I cut my teeth in education: first running the Writing Workshop at Wesleyan University, where I got my bachelor’s, and then teaching 7th grade in a school outside of Boston. When it became clear that writing was more my speed than chaperoning overnight field trips, I moved over to the school’s marketing and communications department.
My fascination with the ins and outs of communications propelled me to get my master’s in communication management from the University of Southern California.
I’ve worked with academics, authors, screenwriters, and businesses on all types of editorial projects: novels, scripts, book proposals, white papers, articles, newsletters, and more. I’d love to work with you, too.
