Gray Bevins Editorial
With diversified experience in the book publishing industry — first as a publisher’s representative and regional sales manager and more recently as an in-house university press acquisitions editor — I am a committed advocate for my authors, a highly skilled developmental editor, and an accomplished grant writer. I primarily work in American studies, anthropology, art and visual studies, biography, ethnic studies, creative and academic non-fiction, cultural studies, literary fiction, Middle East studies, poetry, sociology, women’s history, and twentieth-century literary studies.
Based in Austin, Texas and Norman, Oklahoma, I founded Gray Bevins Editorial so that I could do more of the work that I’m passionate about: collaborating directly with writers and publishers to develop their projects into stellar manuscripts that match the writers’ greatest visions for their work.
Whatever stage of writing you’re at — whether you’re looking for an editor to help craft a winning pitch for your nonfiction book proposal, assistance in developing a writing sample, or completing a grant application — I’d love to hear from you!
Or perhaps you’re looking to transform a dissertation into a publishable book manuscript. Maybe you’re looking for someone to create copy or white papers, blogs, or other marketing materials for your press or business. I can help with this. I have extensive experience in all these areas. Stop by my website to learn more about the editorial services I offer.
As a woman-owned editorial firm, I’m especially committed to promoting the publication of women’s writing.
