With over 20 years of experience as a copyeditor, my current client list includes several academic presses as well as non-profit educational organizations and individual authors. I have helped clients with manuscripts in all forms, including brief online articles, doctoral dissertations, book manuscripts, and individual chapters.
I hold a doctorate in English Literature and Language with a specialization in Medieval literature but have worked on manuscripts in a wide variety of areas, including Asian history and culture, literary criticism, environmental policy, healthcare policy, and international politics. I am available to copyedit both fiction and non-fiction and am proficient working in Chicago, APA, AMA, Harvard, Vancouver, and MLA styles.
My list of services includes substantive editing, addressing concerns like form, content, and organization, though I am always careful to preserve an author’s voice and point of view. I also offer sentence-level copyediting that corrects spelling, grammar, or syntax errors, as well as proofreading services. I have worked extensively with ESL writers, helping with issues like syntax, article and pronoun usage, preposition choice, and colloquialisms.
