I have a BA in Liberal Arts from Nicholls State University and spent 30 years working in retail and food service. It took a pandemic to give me the kick in the pants I needed to ditch the customer service industry and figure out what I wanted to be when I grow up.
Born and raised in New Orleans, I currently live in Chicago with my husband. My hobbies include reading, cooking, thrifting, cross stitching and exploring Chicago. I’m also a HUGE U2 fan.
I’m a member of ASI, EFA, and ACES and recently completed the University of California Berkeley Extension course on indexing. I’m also looking into taking an online course on editing/copy editing, as that will be an additional skill to have on hand.
I work for the Cubs during baseball season, in the Parking and Transportation department. (Which is a fancy way of saying I show fans where to park their cars) It’s a fun, low stress job and a great way interact with fans and kids who are going to their first Cubs game.
