I welcome nonfiction, memoir, poetry, and other writing projects for developmental or line editing and/or illustration and page design. I offer book layout, typography, covers and format for self-publishing.
My style is influenced by printmaking, blending photo realism with cartooning as well as collage. While I have graphic software, I prefer to do most illustration by hand. Recently I designed and directed the painting of a mural, with signage. I have sold my collages and watercolor pen illustrations in which I turn people into rabbits in familiar settings.
My work experience is enhanced by holding a B.A. in Serigraphy, SJSU, an M.A.in Ed. at National Hispanic University. Curriculum design, coaching writing teachers, leadership with San Jose Area Writing Project. I retired from teaching reading intervention in 2018. I have learned how to collaborate with the writer and what moves will be helpful to develop style and content. I enjoy writing, and visual art is my strength.
