Leah Abbey Editing

Whether you are an experienced writer or someone just starting out, putting the words in your head onto a page is hard work! You deserve credit for this accomplishment.

Finding the best way to make sure those words captivate an audience takes skill, creativity, and dedication. And a good editor. This is where I come in.

I want to hear about why your writing is important to you. What is your goal as a writer, and what is the story you are trying to tell? Even if you are writing nonfiction, you still have a takeaway message that should resonate with your audience.

I specialize in both fiction (fantasy, historical, contemporary genres) and nonfiction (creative nonfiction and nature writing), but I am open to work with authors who write in a variety of related genres.

I am a professionally trained copyeditor with a certificate in copyediting from the University of California, San Diego’s Division of Extended Studies. I am also a certified editor for Scribbr, a company that provides academic editing services to students and other individuals worldwide.

I have been actively freelancing since 2023.
