I am an academic editor, historian and author. I have edited thousands of academic documents, including more than 1,500 journal articles, 400 postgraduate theses and dozens of monographs for academic publishers, during an editing career spanning over 19 years. I am highly experienced at editing all types of academic documents including manuscripts, journal articles, postgraduate theses, chapters, conference papers, research proposals, grant applications, academic job and promotion applications, and reports.
My qualifications include PhD Social Sciences (History), PhD Humanities (Creative Writing), Accredited Editor, Honours in History, Honours in Creative Writing, Bachelor of Arts (History and English) and Graduate Certificate in Language (Spanish).
My experience as an academic as well as a professional editor is what qualifies me as a specialist academic editor. I have over 15 years of employment experience in Australian universities. I have lectured and tutored at all three South Australian universities, as well as the University of New South Wales (UNSW) Canberra. In addition to lecturing in history, I have taught Advanced Editing and Publishing and Advanced Technical Writing at UniSA.
