With 30+ years of experience producing quality content for publication, websites and social media, educational and outreach efforts, I help individuals and organizations create the best text possible for their goals, audience, and platform/s. I can help you as writer (or ghost writer, co-author, etc.); developmental and/or production editor (helping with structure and planning, coaching, project oversight, production management); substantive/line editor (editing drafts already created); and always, as strategist.
I spent nearly a dozen years as a staff editor and writer at Smithsonian magazine (circulation 2 million+) and a freelance writer. In both roles I was lauded for clear, accurate, and sparkling prose, and for my ability to become an instant expert. I have spent another dozen-plus working on publications and programs for mission-driven organizations and with individual authors.
