Whether what you need is substantive editing or just polishing, I ensure that your academic writing elegantly conveys what you mean to the audience you wish to reach. I have worked extensively with non-native English speakers, and am experienced with developmental and content editing for the humanities and social sciences. I am also available for translating documents from and into Hebrew and English.
In addition to editing, I continue to be engaged in academic research, writing and teaching. I hold a PhD in ethnomusicology from Columbia University and my geographic specialties are the Caribbean and the Middle East. My ethnographic writing engages with diverse subject-areas including peace and conflict studies, postcolonialism, poststructuralism, urban anthropology, cultural geography, popular culture, migration and diaspora, race, ethnicity and nation. My extensive interdisciplinary content knowledge renders me well equipped to grasp your ideas and support your writing.
I am happy to answer questions, provide references, and/or edit a sample of your work so that you can be sure I am the right editor for you.
