Robin C Bonner

Spring Mount Communications

As a publishing professional with 25+ years of experience – editing, writing, managing, and teaching – I love working with seasoned authors, but also with new writers and students. I care about each project. I’ve worked with memoirists and astronomers, with teachers and historians, and with storytellers. I can help authors “clean up their manuscript” or take their work to a new level.

Though my goal for each project is excellent organization and coherence, not to mention accuracy in grammar and punctuation, I have great respect for each writer’s unique style. And so I limit my editing to what is asked of me. It is the writer’s own voice and not mine that must come through. Of course, I am happy to offer advice on appropriate style; I am also happy to slavishly adhere to the author’s preferred style guide. What’s more, I am not afraid to tackle a twenty-page bibliography, editing and cross-checking entries against thousands of endnotes. Whatever is needed, I can take care of it.

I work in Word and use “Track Changes” to ensure that my authors can see all of my edits and my embedded Comments, which indicate recommendations and queries. I am deadline driven. My many years working with writers – experienced or not – in all disciplines, and likewise my work training and managing editors (and teaching college students), I believe, are evident in my level of expertise and my professional yet friendly manner. Whatever it is that you need, I can work with you to achieve it.

I can also manage projects, textbook or trade, through development and production, and write copy for most any occasion.

Please get in touch and let me know how I can help you!
