Mehta Book Editing

A former acquiring editor at Little, Brown and Simon & Schuster, I am a full-time freelance book editor focusing on middle grade, young adult, and adult fiction. Aside from taking on projects from large and small publishers, including Workman, Macmillan, and Lee & Low, I work with individual authors to help them hone their craft and prepare their work for trade publication.

I grew up in Southern California, where I received a Bachelor’s degree in French literature from U.C. San Diego and a Master’s degree in comparative literature from UCLA. I worked for two literary agents, Margret McBride and Charlotte Gusay, before moving to New York City in 2002. I still live in the heart of the publishing industry, and I love taking on new clients from around the world. Please visit my website for more information about the editing services I offer and more.
