My specialties include polishing academic research papers, grant proposals, and reports in the biological, agricultural, and health sciences; enhancing clarity and audience appeal of science communications written for nonexpert readers; and supporting development of efficient and effective informational and instructional materials. I also provide insightful and incisive guidance to writers of memoir/autobiography with a focus on retaining the author’s voice. I have substantial experience working with non-native English speakers. I hold B.A. and M.A. degrees in English from the University of Connecticut and have additional training in substantive editing, advanced editing, and advanced substantive editing.
