I am a writer/editor with fourteen years of academic experience as a graduate student and senior lecturer. I received my Ph.D. in English from Miami University in 2012 and worked as a senior lecturer, researcher, writer, educator, and curriculum developer at The Ohio State University from 2012 to 2020. Such work means I am well-versed in academic writing and editing as well as basic audience engagement, writing for a variety of audiences, writing across the curriculum, business writing, and creative writing. My own writing has appeared in a variety of academic journals, essay collections, and academic blogs and I have helped edit both academic journals and literature anthologies.

I recently left academia to begin my own freelancing business and have worked in a variety of fields, such as performing developmental edits on K-12 teacher training materials for an educational non-profit, creating marketing booklets for a CPA firm, and ghostwriting for a an EdTech client’s personal LinkedIn page. As I grow in my business, I will continue to use all I learned through academic research, writing, and teaching to serve the various needs of my clients.
