Member Profile
Stephanie Sykes
I’m a well-rounded and meticulous editor with more than two decades of editing and proofreading experience in publications ranging from books, journals, magazines, newspapers, and newsletters to manuscripts (fiction and non-fiction) and poetry, as well as marketing and technical content, Web materials, and a myriad of miscellaneous projects on a freelance basis. I have extensive editorial and project management experience with a demonstrated ability to identify audience; decipher, fine-tune, and convey message; preserve voice and tone; and perfect semantics, grammar, and style. I’m an expert in the Chicago Manual of Style.
I am blissfully self-employed and always looking for new projects, but I have a preference for and a specialization in manuscripts, journal and magazine articles, and NGO and nonprofit work in the areas of international relations, public policy, political science, history, and religion.
