Description

Tax Cuts and Jobs Act: 2018 A Year of Tax Changes and Chaos

The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act signed into law on December 22, 2017, will impact virtually every individual and business on a level not seen in over 30 years. As with any tax bill, there will be “winners” and “losers.” This webinar will focus on those changes that impact us as individuals as well as small business owners and freelancers. Many of the provisions in this law take effect as of January 1, 2018, just twelve days after it was signed into law, setting the stage for an uncertain and chaotic 2018 in the world of taxes.

This webinar will lead you through the initial levels of confusion as we begin to look at those changes that will impact your personal and business tax planning and tax returns. It will also show you how to prepare for the tax consequences, good and bad, coming your way. At the end of the webinar, there will be time for questions from the participants.

This 90-minute webinar will be lead by Dave Venard, an enrolled agent with over 40 years of experience in the tax and accounting industry.

Dave Venard brings more than 40 years of experience with income taxes, accounting, and business management to his presentations and to his clients. He is an enrolled agent, admitted to practice before the Internal Revenue Service, as well as a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor. He is also a member of Intuit’s Trainer and Writer Network and has presented nationwide on behalf of Intuit and QuickBooks. Dave has his BS degree in accounting and a master’s degree in human resource management and organizational behavior.

Dave is president of Bayview Services Group, Inc., a professional services firm that specializes in income tax preparation, QuickBooks consulting and training services. He maintains a client base from New York to Hawaii.
