Description

This 60-minute workshop will illustrate how to think about your finances as a freelancer, from the different types of business incorporation (sole proprietor, S Corp, LLC) to taxes and retirement savings. This can all seem overwhelming without a system in place that aligns with what you want out of your business. In this webinar, we will review the new Form 1099 NEC you might be receiving for your work, as well as how best to be ready for taxes at filing time and throughout the year. We will also review the avenues you have as a freelancer to save money for retirement, such as the SEP-IRA vs. the solo 401k, and the pros and cons of each.

The webinar is free to all EFA members but attendance at the live session is limited to the first 225 registrants. All members will be able to download the recorded version of the webinar for free a few days after it airs.

Cristina Guglielmetti, CFP® is an independent, fee-only, fiduciary financial planner based in Brooklyn. Cristina creates holistic, forward-thinking financial plans that balance clients’ current needs and future goals and serve as a framework for life decisions.
