The EFA is currently accepting applications for a part-time Community Engagement Specialist role. This role is positioned as a key public-facing support person on our community team.
The Community Engagement Coordinator works to develop strategies to increase member participation, coordinating in-person and virtual events, and triaging member concerns for the Editorial Freelancers Association (EFA.) This person is responsible for increasing engagement in our community and helping to enhance the member value proposition in collaboration with the Community Engagement Lead. The Community Engagement Specialist reports to the Executive Director and works closely with appropriate board members, chairs, committees and volunteers.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Serving as the primary liaison for chapter coordinators and assisting with administrative and programmatic needs, including managing overall chapter budget
- Managing + Increasing interaction in community forums (work with ED to develop benchmarks)
- Triaging contact form in Your Membership
- Developing a strategy to establish and engage our emeritus members community
- Managing and growing the new member program
- Developing new resources for members
- Owning the EFA job list and ensuring timely review and posting
This position is a 25-hour a week position, eligible to convert to a full-time position after 90 days.
