My work as a freelance copyeditor has ranged from annual art catalogues, fiction, memoir, and poetry collections to academic books and the research papers of two biologists for whom English is a second language. For twenty years on the staff of a printing trade newspaper, I proofread and copyedited the entire weekly issue from editorial pages through hundreds of ads.
