Are you looking for:

  • Best editorial practices
  • Rate information
  • Ideas for your social media presence
  • Software and hardware information
  • Encouragement in starting/maintaining your editorial business
  • Resources for style guides, style sheets, genre or field-specific databases
  • A place to talk to other editors about the editing life

We’ve got all that and more during our Monday night/Friday morning EFA chats. Join in the discussion on Zoom!

Who can join?

Any EFA member who lives in or near CT.  Anyone interested in learning more about the EFA and the benefits of joining is welcome to attend. If that’s you, let us know!

Is it free?

Membership in the chapter is free, although of course the required EFA membership does have an associated fee.

There are no obligations for being in the chapter. Attendance at meetings is optional.

Why join?

You’ll get to meet and network with other professionals in your industry and in your area. Freelancing can be lonely, but it doesn’t have to be.

How do I join?

Send an email to Faith Williams, chapter coordinator, at chap_connecticut@the-efa.org.

Meetings: We meet via Zoom, with occasional in-person lunches and field trips.

Unless otherwise noted, the meetings are the first Monday night at 7 pm, and the Friday of that week at 10 am; a second set of meetings are on the third Monday night at 7 pm and the Friday of that week at 10 am.

Remember: the Monday night login is the same for every Monday night meeting; the Friday morning login is the same for every Friday morning meeting. Please email Faith Williams for the log-in information if needed.
