Written English, Spanish, and Portuguese each have their own rules and conventions, but you might not be up to speed on all of them. That’s where I come in.

In high school, I couldn’t land a part-time job because of spelling and grammar errors. The mistakes weren’t mine; I corrected the application forms as I filled them out. Apparently, the local video store didn’t care about perfect copy.

But you do, and so do I.

I want to help you create the perfect educational materials for language learners:

  • Adding translations of quotes when necessary
  • Checking quotes against sources for accuracy
  • Copyediting bilingual (Spanish/English or Portuguese/English) content
  • Creating style sheets
  • Editing translated textbooks
  • Following current language-specific style guides
  • Proofreading bilingual or monolingual content

How can I help you polish your language teaching materials? For starters, I’m fluent in three languages.

Since 2009, I’ve translated from both Portuguese and Spanish into English, my native language. The American Translators Association (ATA) recognizes my skills; I’ve earned ATA certification in both language pairs, a feat achieved by less than 20% of translators who attempt the certification test. With over ten years of experience translating documents and editing translated texts, I’m ready to give your work the same meticulous attention I gave those job applications.
