Flying Pig Editing offers comprehensive copy editing and final proofing services for technical and professional products. I have been working in academic research and evaluation for over 30 years with extensive experience editing journal articles, academic papers, theses, dissertations, and reports, as well as a wide range of graphic and other materials for dissemination or use in activities such as training.  I specialize in research, nonfiction, professional development materials, and technical papers, reports, graphic presentations, and documents, including theses and dissertations. I have extensive experience in instructional design and curricula as well as the design, implementation, and analysis of research and evaluation methodologies, including the design of survey and other instruments for data collection.

I have an MEd in Curriculum and Instructional Design and a BA in developmental and counseling psychology. I’ve been an independent consultant in program evaluation since 1999, emphasizing systems thinking and practice and policy analysis. The majority of my evaluation work took place in the K-12 educational and human services, focusing on change, leadership, professional development, and classroom instruction. I have also been a teacher and designer of classroom and professional development curricula for 25 years. Prior to 1995, I worked in planning and human services program design as a human services analyst with the New York State Appalachian Regional Commission development program.
