Emdash Editing LLC
I’m a nonfiction editor and designer. I do developmental editing, line editing, and copyediting, as well as website, document, and book design. I have extensive experience working with for- and non-profit businesses, entrepreneurs, and executives on projects as wide-ranging as websites, books, proposals, training manuals, and case studies. I understand the unique requirements of business writing as well as the typical challenges that business writers face. Being a good editor is about good judgment. Good judgment means not just knowing the “rules”, but understanding when to apply them and when to let them go, decisions that depend on your purpose, your audience, your venue, and your culture. Making those judgments is my job. As an editor I’m an expert in communication that says what you need it to say in language your readers want to read because good writing means good business.
