Kate Marope is a developmental and line editor whose client list includes trad and self-published authors such as Charish Reid, Aidan Wayne, L. Penelope, Manda Mellett, and more. She coaches and edits at The Ribbon Marker, and freelances for Relay Publishing as a Developmental & Line Editor and a Category Romance Concept Editor. She is also the host of the Path to Print podcast.

Kate has been a freelance editor for Harlequin’s Carina Press imprint, and a final round judge for several RWA chapter contests. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Bond University and a master’s in marketing from the University of Tasmania.

She specializes in: romance genre fiction (all sub-genres except historical and inspirational), paranormal, mystery (with strong romantic elements), and sci-fi/fantasy. She helps authors create nuanced characters and plot character-driven stories that readers find difficult to forget.
