Alexander Karelis
I have freelanced as a ghostwriter, copyeditor, proofreader, and line and developmental editor for fiction and nonfiction books, museum publications, magazines, and works by self-published authors. I edit all genres, but I’m particularly fond of detective/thriller/spy, fantasy, science fiction, and creative nonfiction. I have done scholarly and academic research as well.
I formed Scribbler Solutions in 2018 with Johanna Halford-Macleod. Between us we have over forty years experience developmental and line editing, copyediting, and proofreading for institutional clients, magazines and journals, and authors who are looking to publish traditionally or independently.
I write a monthly feature for tropmag.com. For several years I co-owned and operated Writers Room DC (now the D.C. Writers Room), a co-working space for writers and the unofficial literary nexus of Washington DC. I now live and work in Philadelphia.
