My name is Alysa (pronounced with a long ‘e’ sound) and my pronouns are she/her. My job is to help you make the most impact with your target audience.
My work focuses primarily on academic, K-12 curricula, and kid-lit editing. But if the client is a good fit, I also edit works of non-fiction, business documents (e.g., reports, personnel files, résumés, CVs), and essays.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in English and master’s degrees in education and anthropology. I specialize in structural, stylistic, and copy editing, but also offer proofreading, journal formatting, and red pen praising.
My work has afforded me the opportunity to work with scientists, educators, Indigenous Elders, and aspiring writers from around the world. I am always interested in new opportunities and look forward to learning more about your editing needs!
