Amanda Christine Kruse

Since the age of five I have been passionate about reading, writing and language. The power of a well written story is greater than any one person for it can touch countless lives. It is my passion to make sure they do so with the proper amount of clarity and correct grammar that their purpose deserves.

In 2012, I graduated Magna cum Laude from the University of Colorado with a BA in English and creative writing and went on to graduate from the Publishing Institute at the University of Denver in 2014.

Over the last twelve years I have proofread, copy edited, line edited, and substantively edited many papers, stories, and manuscripts. I worked as the fiction editor on the CU honors journal until I graduated. Since then I have interned as a proofreader for Genius Book Publishing, proofread for Forte Information Resources, and freelance edited manuscripts for Green Ivy Publishing as well as individual authors. I have also written many short stories and novellas as well as an honors thesis. Currently, I freelance edit for several independent publishers and ghostwrite for two companies under separate pen names.

I have a background in classical Greek and Roman mythology as well as Russian and Italian fairytales. My years of working with children ages three to twelve in a Montessori school have given me insight into children’s literature as well as education. As a hunter/jumper rider, I also have a lifetime of firsthand experience with horses.
