Amber Wingfield

I am a native English-speaker who reads, speaks, and writes in English, French (with specialization in Canadian French), and Spanish. I’m a certified TESOL instructor and I’ve studied marketing extensively through UCLA’s Extension program.

My work in education includes:

  • creating and editing interactive content for a college English composition program for McGraw-Hill
  • aligning teacher and student materials to current or new educational standards and benchmarks
  • writing and supervising writers for teacher certification practice exams, state-specific end-of-course exams, and technical/workplace assessments
  • writing questions for an AP English exam practice book, a LEED certification practice test, practice FCAT tests, and management and business educational programs
  • creating curriculum units on film and theater for online high school students
  • creating detailed lesson plans for English courses.

Outside the education industry, I’ve written articles, e-books, website copy, brochure copy, blog posts, and social media posts on travel, health, nutrition, and overseas investment, and for a custom cake baker.

As an editor, I’ve worked on IB lesson materials; college textbooks in the areas of U.S. history, business law, organizational behavior, and public speaking; self-help book manuscripts; YA fiction manuscripts; business reports; academic materials; and marketing materials. I have experience working with non-native English writers.
