You want to be taken seriously. You want to produce the best-possible creative work. If you want it to be a fun, learning experience, then I’m your editor. Why?
I’ve been a professional writer and editor for the past 11 years. I’ve worked with authors, academics, companies, marketers, and fellow editors to edit manuscripts, to edit journal articles, to ghostwrite stories, to produce content marketing copy, and to collaborate on projects. When I work with you, I bring every bit of that to the table because I believe that’s how we empower one another to accomplish our goals and to bring joy to our lives.
Academically, I hold an MA in English Creative Writing, a Master’s in Publishing, and am an ACES member and a member of the Mobile Writer’s Guild.
So to clarify, I–copyedit, line edit, developmental edit, ghostwrite, consult, write content marketing copy, write marketing plans, do e-book and magazine layout, and more. Just ask.
But wait! There’s more!
Specializations & what I do
In addition to specializing in editing memoir, nonfiction (technical and creative), romance, mystery, and contemporary, I also have experience creating websites, writing marketing copy, doing social media marketing, creating marketing plans, writing proposals and query letters, and critiquing manuscripts.
How my flexible rates work
Like I say on my website, you’re not a product, and I’m not a machine. My rates are flexible. They vary based on project because your work is as unique as you. At our first introduction, we determine if we’re a good fit. Misery may love company, but there’s no reason two people who don’t mesh well together should punish themselves by working together when there are lots of other fish in the sea.
If we are a good fit, then we talk in real terms about how long the project will take, what the expectations are, and what you can reasonably afford. Once we negotiate a rate that’s fair for both of us, I write a contract that you review, and we sign it and get started. It’s as easy as that.
