I have over seven years of experience as a freelance writer and editor, working on diverse projects such as magazines, books, blogs, and social media. My written work has been published in Texas Parks and Wildlife Magazine and Austin Fit Magazine, and I share stories of grief, loss, and resilience in my weekly “Sunday Story” series on Facebook. I am also an avid photographer, and I enjoy exploring different forms of creative expression and communication. For the past three years, as a QA Editor at Golden, I ensured the quality and accuracy of the online knowledge base that covers millions of non-fiction topics across various domains. I applied my certified copyediting skills and my proficiency in proofreading and grammar to review, revise, and improve the content created by the contributors and researchers.
I have strong skills for working on a draft and tightening up the writing so sentences are clear and concise, ideas are effectively conveyed, the narrative flows, and the author’s voice shines through. I have a rich command of English grammar, syntax, and mechanics to edit manuscripts clearly, confidently, and correctly. I’m a fast learner and am comfortable handling material in a variety of subject areas, and I’m committed to meeting deadlines.
